Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve learning outcomes in PPKn (Civics Education) on the topic of unity in diversity through the VCT (Value Clarification Technique) method in the 5th-grade, second semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. This research uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) as its methodology. It consists of 3 cycles, each including 4 stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research was 16 students as subjects. The results indicate an improvement in PPKn learning outcomes in the 5th grade. This is evidenced by the average test scores increasing with each cycle: in Cycle I, 6 out of 16 students (37%) achieved an average score of 58.75; in Cycle II, 9 out of 16 students (56%) achieved an average score of 65.94; and in Cycle III, 13 out of 16 students (82%) achieved an average score of 76.88. The improvement observed in this research concludes that PPKn learning outcomes can be enhanced using the VCT method.
