Implementation of RADEC and Problem Based Learning Model in Indonesiaku Kaya Budaya

Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) is a combination of science and social studies subjects that focuses on the context of nature and human interaction, playing a crucial role in shaping students’ literacy and numeracy competencies. The recent curriculum Curriculum Merdeka provides teachers with the flexibility to develop curriculum that meet local needs and student characteristics. Therefore, in this study, the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model was selected because it encourages students to actively engage in solving contextual problems, while Read Answer Discuss Explain Create (RADEC) model was chosen for its emphasis on developing critical thinking skills. This study aims to analyze the differences in IPAS learning outcomes among fourth grade of SDN CIbubur 11 Pagi using PBL and RADEC models. This quantitive study was conducted at an elementary school in Jakarta Timur. The Dara was obtained using validated objective instruments and analyzed using parametric statistics. The data analysis results concluded that there is a difference in the final learning outcomes between PBL and RADEC group. Therefore, this study suggests that PBL is more recommended for IPAS learning.
