Efforts to Increase Student Learning Motivation in Civics Subjects with Pancasila Materials with Scrapbook Learning Media

Abstract

Motivation has an important role in the process of teaching and learning activities both for teachers and for students themselves. With the learning motivation of students, learning outcomes will increase. The purpose of this study was to increase students' learning motivation in Civics subjects with Pancasila material with scrapbook learning media in third grade students in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. This research method is classroom action research that follows the Kemmis and Taggart models. This study includes 2 cycles where each cycle includes 4 stages, namely planning (planning), acting (implementation), observing (observing) and reflecting (reflection). The research subjects were 28 students, while the data were collected through observation, questionnaires, tests, interviews and field notes. This is evidenced by the average results of observations, questionnaires and tests in each cycle that continues to increase. The average results of the questionnaire are in the first cycle = 82% while the second cycle = 87%, the percentage test results are in the first cycle = 78% and in the second cycle = 85% and the results of interviews conducted conclude that learning Pancasila material with scrapbook media is fun for students. It can be concluded that learning Pancasila material by using scrapbook learning media can increase students' learning motivation
