Improving the Learning Outcomes of Students through the Jigsaw Cooperative Method

Education is a very important component in life. Students' interest in Civics Education subjects is minimal. The purpose of this study was to improve learning outcomes in the subject of Pancasila and Citizenship Education in the material of Diversity of Ethnicity, Religion, Race, and Intergroup in the Frame of Unity in Diversity through the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model for class VII students in the even semester of the 2022/2023 school year. This research method is classroom action research (PTK) including 3 cycles with 4 stages, namely planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The research time was carried out for one full month in May 2023 with research subjects of 39 students. The results showed that there was an increase in student learning outcomes in Pancasila and Citizenship Education subjects in class VII. This is evident in the research with the learning outcomes of students who achieve completeness increasing in each research cycle, namely in cycle I = 25.6%; cycle II = 51.2%; and cycle III = 82.1%. This study concludes that learning by using the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model can improve learning outcomes.
