The objective of this research is to find out whether there is a correlation between students’ metacognitive strategies and their vocabulary mastery. This research used quantitative approach with correlation as the research method. The population of the research was 104 students of all three classes of tenth grade of Accounting major in SMKN 7 Bekasi. In collecting the data, the researcher used two research instruments, a questionnaire was used to collect students’ metacognitive strategies data, and a test was used to collect students’ vocabulary mastery data. The result of the research showed that there is a significant correlation between students’ metacognitive strategies (variable X) and students’ vocabulary mastery (variable Y). This statement can be proven by the result of rxy which is higher than rtable (0,6273 > 0,2287), and the comparison between tcount and ttable which calculation resulted in tcount > ttable (9,0002 > 1,9935) with the regression line Y ̂ = 10,1609 + 0,9200. The coefficient determination result, which is rxy2 = 0,3935 x 100 = 39,3%, shows that the data obtained from this research represents 39,3% of the real situation while the other 60,7% are represented by other aspects that is not the part of this research. According to the description of data above, it can be concluded that there is a significant positive correlation between students’ metacognitive strategies and students’ vocabulary mastery.
